My paper entitled, “An Orthodox Critique of Natural Theology,” has been accepted to the prestigious IOTA (International Orthodox Theological Association) conference in Volos, Greece.
The IOTA conference is the largest Orthodox conference ever held, and its inaugural conference was four years ago in Iasi, Romania, where you might remember I attended and presented my paper on the Dangers of Modernity and Technology. This year’s conference, in cooperation with Volos Academy for Theological Studies, will comprise of 350 scholars and academics from 50 countries around the world on a wide variety of topics.
The evening Opening Ceremony and keynote address will be delivered by His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Korea and Exarch of Japan Ambrosios. Three working days of paper sessions will follow, along with church services and pilgrimages to the Meteora monasteries.
Being able to present my paper at the IOTA conference is not only important in continuing my own academic work by getting the relevant feedback from some of the top scholars in this area, I believe that is also an important contribution to Orthodoxy and academia, not to mention my own pastoral work.
I cannot, however, accomplish this without your help. Help me raise enough funds to be able to finance this trip to Greece so that I can present at the IOTA conference in Volos. Every penny and donation counts and helps me get closer to my goal.
Will you consider supporting me and donating to help me get to Volos, Greece for this upcoming IOTA conference?
